The last accolade Mr. Brown received in the United States was in his hometown of Augusta, GA in Oct. 2006. He actually unveiled this sign himself.
Silas X. Floyd School
Mr. Brown attended Silas X. Floyd school until the 7th grade.
The Godfather of Soul, James Brown Exhibit
The Augusta Musuem of History houses this unique exhibt which features rare memorable and personal artifacts which vividly tells the story of Brown's rise to worldwide fame.
